Santiago City tour

During this tour which will be approximately four hours, an experience guide will narrate the history of the city. Our journey starts at the Santa Lucia Hill where the city was founded by the Spanish Conqueror Pedro de Valdivia in 1.541 nearby, we can also find San Francisco church which was built between the years of 1586 and 1628.A particular trait of this church is that it has never fallen even though it has suffered several major earthquakes. We shall continue our tour by visiting the Presidential Palace “La Moneda”, the Central Market, the Pre-Colombina Museum, the central post office, the National Museum, the Municipality of Santiago “Mayor’s Office” and the Cathedral located in Plaza de Armas at the heart of the city near to the former National Congress.Our tour continues in the older parts of the city and then through the Parque Forestal to the Bellavista neighborhood.This area was a rich district where the poet Pablo Neruda lived. As we know.Mr. Neruda obtained the Noble Prize of Literature in 1971.We will then travel to the San Cristobal Hill.This high hill is located in the centre of the city and from its top we will have a panoramic view of the city, the Andes range and the coastal range. At the top of the San Cristobal, we shall also find a statue of the Virgen Mary Inmaculate which was donated by the French government.Near the statue, we also visit a small but beautiful church. The top of this hill offers a great opportunity to take pictures of our beautiful city.One will be able to appreciate the difference between the east side of Santiago where you can find the most modern buildings and the rest of the city with more traditional constructions. We will then ride the cable cars back to the bottom. At the end of this excursion, we will visit Chilean handcrafts store where we can enjoy a glass of Chilean wine and can purchase objects made out of a semi-precious blue stones called Lapislazuli.This stone only exists in Chile and Afghanistan. At the end of the tours, clients can choose their final destination Airport, hotels, Restaurants or Shopping Centers.

Santiago

After sunset, a new Santiago awakes unveiling its secrets through a millions of lights.The Brazil Neighborhood, at one time the home of aristocracy, will show us how it has turned into the capital’s main cultural and Bohemian center.

Mountain Range Tour

 This excursion will put you in direct contact with nature and will certainly surprise you with the immensity of the “The Andes Mountains 2,800 meters above sea level. Just one hour and a half from Santiago, we have some of the region's most important ski centers such as Farellones, El Colorado, La Parva and Valle Nevado.The ski season runs from June to October. If you are interested in learning how to ski, there are optional lessons offered to beginners. When the snow melts, it gives way to a veritable natural showing of exuberant vegetation. If we are lucky, we may get to see wild animals such as foxes or condors which is Chile’s national bird.

Portillo Ski Resort (Los Andes)

Portillo Ski Resort is the oldest in South America dating back to 1949.It is located 135 km from Santiago and will take us an hour and a half through the majestic Andes Mountains to arrive. The main land entrance to Chile it’s located nearby.It’s the main entrance for tourists and commerce to and from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay.Portillo has an infrastructure that allows the enjoyment of winter sports and mountain activities during the summer. It is also noteworthy for the lovely view of Laguna Del Inca, a lake located 2800 meters above sea level. The history of wine in Chile began in the sixteenth century when the Spanish conquistadors brought the first stocks from Europe. Although production is among the most modern in the world, it has retained the winemaking tradition of its early years. The tour alternatives are Viña Undurraga which is one of the first wines exporting companies in Chile, with over 120 years of tradition or Viña Concha y Toro a world famous vineyards.

Vineyard Full day

The fascination and magic of wine can be experienced fully in TheMaipo Valley, which fertile soil gives life to Chile's most select grapevine stocks and wines. This is where the first vineyards were established and from where Chile’s first wines were exported to the world making us a source for excellent wines.It has more than 1,500 hectares planted with red wine stocks and 1,200 hectares with white wine stocks that can be experienced throughvisits to the country's most important vineyards.

Colchagua Valley

This tour will take us to the city of Santa Cruz located in the Colchagua Valley 130 kilometers from Santiago.The Colchagua Valley is one of the most important winemaking zones with 19.860 hectares of vineyards.It is considered a paradise for many enologists for its exceptional weather conditions which allow most grape varieties to grow optimally. Here we can find red stock varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Carmenére along with the white stock varietiesChardonnay, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. We will get a deeper knowledge of the winemaking process by visiting some of the important vineyards such as: Viu Manent, Bisquertt, MontGras or Estampa. We will enjoy lunch at Hotel Santa Cruz where will also be able to visit Colchagua Museum, one of the most outstanding museums in the country.

Wine in Casablanca Valley

The Casablanca valley is only located 85 kilometers from Santiago and it is known as the best area to grow grapes used to produce white wines. The valley is located only a few kilometers away from the ocean.Its climate is characterized by cool and foggy Mediterranean mornings and warm ocean breezes in the afternoon. This allows for a long and slow period of grape growth and an equal ripening period.The result is world famous Sauvignon Blanc and chardonnay wine form this valley.Several vineyards are located in the Casablanca Valley such as Veramonte, Indomita, Miramar, and Casas Del Bosque among others. Isla Negra (The house where Pablo Neruda lived)

Isla Negra is located 90 minutes away from Santiago.Here we can find one of the three major houses where Pablo Neruda lived. The house was built in 1939 with stone, wood and several elements that give it the atmosphere of a great ship. It contains various collections which will call your attention.Pablo Neruda’s remains rests in the garden of this house overlooking the sea.After visiting the house, we will go along the coast to a small village called “Pomaire”.Its origins date back to 1771 and it is known for its pottery. The tradition of producing fine pottery by hand goes back for many generations.We will also have the opportunity in Pomaire to enjoy the delicious and traditional Chilean dishes.

Viña del Mar

Viña del Mar is known as the Garden City.It is a very quiet place for older people and will charm us with its special architecture, its streets, squares and beautiful gardens locatednearthe Pacific Ocean. During summer you shall find people from different countries, especially from Argentina, enjoying its beautiful beaches. Next to the beaches you can find excellent restaurants, a casino and several night clubs. This is the city where our president usually comes during the summer holidays.

Valparaíso

This city, which origin goes back to 1536, was declared in 2003 a Cultural World Heritage Site by the UNESCO.The National Congress, Chile’s major shipping port and the naval academy can all be found in this beautiful and unique city. Turn of the 20th century elevators take you to the different hills where you can enjoy gorgeous and magical views of the city and its ocean.Among its colorful buildings, we will visit the museum La Sebastiana, the third house that Pablo Neruda owned and lived in (entrance fee is not included).The house is enclaved in one of the forty five hills that make up the city of Valparaiso.
